On April 26, the 2# line of the 2×240m² sintering machine upgrade project undertaken by MCC Huatian for Qinyou Special Metal Materials Co., Ltd. was successfully hot-commissioned, four days ahead of schedule. This milestone, achieved just before Labor Day, marks a major interim success and once again demonstrates MCC Huatian's comprehensive strength and reliable delivery capability as a "national team for metallurgical construction."
The project is a key upgrade for Qinyou Special Metal Materials to meet ultra-low emission and energy-saving goals. It includes the construction of two new 240m² belt-type sintering machines to replace two existing 180m² walking-type machines. Supporting facilities include sintering and cooling systems, flue gas recirculation, zero-emission systems, main electrostatic precipitators, and pneumatic conveying systems, along with technical modifications to the primary mixing and bypass systems. Notably, the project employs MCC Huatian's proprietary steam-electric dual-drive power generation technology, providing solid technical support for Qinyou's green transformation, cost reduction, and energy saving.
Since construction began, the company has placed high importance on the project, with leadership frequently visiting the site to coordinate solutions for key challenges. To accelerate commissioning and help Qinyou achieve capacity optimization and environmental upgrades, the Steel Plant Division promptly established a project party branch. The branch played a strong role in integrating party leadership into design, procurement, and construction processes. Party members and cadres took the lead, overcoming difficulties. The project team optimized construction plans, coordinated manpower, materials, and schedules, enabling efficient collaboration across disciplines.
The first 1# line was hot-commissioned on September 28, 2025, two days ahead of schedule. After six months of continuous effort, the 2# line reached major milestones: main structure topping out on January 10, 2026; main plant enclosure completed on January 31; electrical room powered on March 1; and final hot commissioning on April 26, four days early. During the Spring Festival holiday, the project branch organized over 100 workers to stay on site, laying a solid foundation for the early completion. The early commissioning of the 2# line will help bring sintering operations into environmental compliance, reduce energy consumption, optimize capacity, and provide strong momentum for the owner's high-quality, sustainable development.
The project team will continue to uphold safety and quality standards, steadily complete remaining work, and ensure stable and efficient operation of the production line, contributing to Qinyou's ultra-low emission and energy-saving goals and supporting the green, high-quality development of local industry.
